Saddle Up for the Ultimate Texas Pony Ride Birthday Party! It's our Cowboy Pony Party for the Woodlands! Woodlands Pony Party is mobile and comes to your backyard. Or we can recommend the perfect location to have your party! Little cowboys and cowgirls will enjoy gentle pony rides led by Beth. We recommend the ideal size of the party to be a maximum of 15 children, so everyone has a safe and unforgettable ride. We bring three complete party stations, so there is never more than a few waiting in line to ride. Woodlands Pony Party will be supervising the pony rides at all times and will rely on the parents to supervise the other stations. After riding Snickers, the kids will receive an "I rode Snickers" sticker to proudly wear. For the second station, a delightful stick horse "Pony Rodeo" invites your birthday guests to showcase their equestrian skills around a mini jump course, through pole bending and a barrel race pattern. We bring the soft fluffy stick horses, cones and small dog size jumps for the competitors. Blue ribbons await everyone! At the third station, the little cow pokes will get a calf roping lesson with lots of time to practice ropin' a dummy steer on the ground. For the ropin' instructor, Beth brings her truck and trailer chauffeur husband along. When he's missing from his office in Hughes Landing, he can often be found competing as a real-life cowboy roper around the area. Woodlands Pony Party's cowboy pony party package is truly a grand adventure for little wranglers, outlaws and rodeo stars. Riding, Ropin' & Rodeo is what it's all about!
What to expect? We bring the fun directly to you! Whether your event is held in a backyard, green space, park, corporate setting, or church property, we have just three requirements: a flat, grassy open area, a source to fill a bucket of water, and access to shade. If your yard is small, we are happy to recommend an ideal no-cost location to reserve that accommodates all of our activities.
Parking and Access? Please save ample parking for our trailer and truck. We recommend placing cones along approximately 50 feet of your neighborhood street on the morning of your party. Please also confirm there is adequate space for us to either pull through or safely turn around.
Safety and Insurance? Woodlands Pony Party is fully insured. A Waiver and Release of Liability must be signed by both parents or the legal guardians for each rider. While pony ride businesses are not required by Texas law to carry liability insurance, we choose to do so for your peace of mind. (See the Texas Equine Act.) Snickers is supervised and hand walked at all times. Riders must be three years old, and riders under the age of four must have a parent walk alongside their child during the ride. Helmets are mandatory for all minors. Our helmets are ASTM/SEI certified and disinfected before and after every party. Please remind guests that closed toe shoes are required. Sandals and Croc type footwear are not permitted.
Timing and Party Flow? We arrive 30 minutes before your scheduled start time to set up and allow Snickers to become familiar with the space. Pony rides are offered for 1.5 hours. For example, at a two-hour party, the final 30 minutes are typically used for cake, food or presents while we load the trailer and collect the stick horse rodeo course. We are onsite for a little over two hours total, with 1.5 hours of active pony rides.
What's Not Included? Invitations, cake, food, favors and decoration are the responsibility of the host and not included with our package.
Cleanliness? All pony waste is picked up immediately during the party. Because of his weight, Snickers may naturally leave small hoof impressions in your grass, particularly if the ground is soft, newly grown, or damp from rain. Snickers may also sometimes try to nibble on grass while waiting between riders. As with any animal, occasional urination may occur and is considered a normal part of hosting a pony. If you take great pride in maintaining a perfectly manicured lawn, you may wish to consider hosting your party at a park rather than your backyard. An antibacterial hand gel station is provided for guests.
Pricing and Payment? The cost is $450 for up to 15 guests. This price includes up to one hour of total travel time (30 minutes each way). Additional travel time may incur a fee of $50 per additional hour, depending on your location. Pricing does not include taxes. Texas classifies pony rides as an amusement activity, which requires the collection of local and state sales use tax. A signed booking contract and 50% deposit are required to secure your date. The remaining balance is due the day before the party.
Weather Policy? In the event of inclement weather (hard rain, extreme cold, or high winds), your party will be rescheduled at no additional cost to a mutually agreed upon date. The decision to reschedule will be determined 24 hours prior to your event. Please send an email requesting to reschedule the day prior of your party. We also reserve the right to determine if the weather is not suitable for the pony. We continue to operate in light rain. If rescheduling is necessary, your deposit remains valid for one full year. Deposits are non-refundable, but transferable.
