Saddle Up for the Ultimate Texas Pony Ride Birthday Party! It's our Cowboy Pony Party for the Woodlands! Woodlands Pony Party is located at Mariposa Farm right near Burroughs Park. Little cowboys and cowgirls will enjoy gentle pony rides led by Beth. We recommend the ideal size of the party to be a maximum of 15 children, so everyone has a safe and unforgettable ride. We provide three complete party stations, so there is never more than a few waiting in line to ride. Woodlands Pony Party will be supervising the pony rides at all times and will rely on the parents to supervise the stick horse "Rodeo" games. After riding Snickers, the kids will receive an "I rode Snickers" sticker to proudly wear. For the second station, a delightful stick horse "Pony Rodeo" invites your birthday guests to showcase their equestrian skills around a mini jump course, through pole bending and a barrel race pattern. We setup the soft fluffy stick horses, cones and small dog size jump courses for the competitors. Blue ribbons await everyone! At the third station, the little cow pokes will get a roping lesson on the ground with lots of time to practice ropin' a dummy steer. Beth has her real-life team roping husband teach your guests all about swinging the rope. At the end the party we provide a fourth surprise: guests will get cuddle time with our Petting Pals, Ruby Mae a mini donkey and her two sheep friends. Woodlands Pony Party's cowboy package is truly a grand adventure for little wranglers, outlaws and rodeo stars. Riding, Ropin' & Rodeo is what it's all about!
What to expect? All of the fun activities and stations are included. No extra charges.
Safety and Insurance? Woodlands Pony Party is fully insured. A Waiver and Release of Liability must be signed by both parents or the legal guardians for each rider. While pony ride businesses are not required by Texas law to carry liability insurance, we choose to do so for your peace of mind. (See the Texas Equine Act.) Snickers is supervised and hand walked at all times. Riders must be two years old, and riders under the age of four must have a parent walk alongside their child during the ride. Helmets are mandatory for all minors. Our helmets are ASTM/SEI certified and disinfected before and after every party. Please remind guests that closed toe shoes are required. Boots preferred. This is a true working farm, and the children will be in grass and a sand arena. Sandals and Croc type footwear are not permitted.
Timing and Party Flow? Parties are two hours. Parents can set up a half hour prior and remain at the farm for a half hour after the party to clean up their tablescapes, food and decor. Pony rides, Stick Horse Games, and Roping Lessons are offered for 1.5 hours. The final 30 minutes are typically used for petting Ruby Mae, the miniature donkey, and two sweet sheep, along with serving your cake, food or opening presents.
What's Not Included? Invitations, cake, food, favors and decoration are the responsibility of the host and not included with our package.
Cleanliness? An antibacterial hand gel station is provided for guests, as well as a bathroom to wash hands before cake time.
Pricing and Payment? The cost is $475 for up to 15 guests. Pricing does not include taxes. Texas classifies pony rides as an amusement activity, which requires the collection of local and state sales use tax. A signed booking contract and 50% deposit are required to secure your date. The remaining balance is due the day before the party.
Weather Policy? In the event of inclement weather (hard rain, extreme cold, or high winds), your party will be rescheduled at no additional cost to a mutually agreed upon date. The decision to reschedule will be determined 24 hours prior to your event. Please call requesting to reschedule the day prior of your party. We also reserve the right to determine if the weather is not suitable for the pony. We continue to operate in light rain. We have a covered riding area, and a covered pavilion with guest tables and seating. If rescheduling is necessary, your deposit remains valid for one full year. Deposits are non-refundable, but transferable.
